Little Brick Cafe wedding photography

Red brick, ivy to the roofline, and a garden narrow enough that everybody is close to everybody. Little Brick suits a small wedding, and it rewards a photographer who is not trying to make it look bigger than it is.

A small venue photographs well when nobody fights it

The whole site is a brick building, a red door and a path through planted beds. There is no long aisle and no grand staircase, and a wedding here is better for it: your guests are within arm reach of you all afternoon, and the photographs show that rather than a room with space left over.

We work close and quietly in a venue this size. A long lens from the back of a garden this narrow is just a photographer standing in the flowerbeds.

The small things are most of the day

At an intimate wedding the details are not filler. The welcome table, the polaroids pegged on a line, the instant camera somebody keeps picking up: that is what the day actually looked like, and in a year it is what you will not be able to remember on your own.

We photograph them early, before the room is used, and then leave them alone.
