An engagement session is the easiest hour you will spend in front of a camera, and it is the reason your wedding day feels familiar rather than strange. We shoot in the river valley, downtown, out on the prairie, or wherever the two of you actually spend time.
Most couples have never been photographed properly together. Doing it once before the wedding means that on the day itself you already know how we work, we already know how you stand next to each other, and none of it is new while you are trying to enjoy your own wedding.
It is also the last set of photographs of the two of you before everything changes, which turns out to matter more than people expect.
The river valley in autumn, downtown at the blue hour, a frozen field in January, or the mountains at Banff and Lake Louise if you want to make a day of it. We will tell you honestly what the light does at each of them and at what time.
Sessions run about an hour and a half, and there is no rush in them.
